Thanking my daughters and Landmark

I want to thank my daughters for supporting me through my ages. They introduced me to Landmark back in ’92 so we could speak the same language and strive to hold the ideals and the values which came to us from my mother and grandmothers.

In my extended family everyone..all the generations (except the new baby) have taken at least the Landmark Forum and some have taken many other courses, as well as the Seminar series.

We all owe Landmark for the good influences on our lives.

Thank you friends, family and aquaintances

Thank you, to all of the people who have accompanied me at some point in my life (50 years). Our paths have gone the same way for a time and then either I or you have chosen to take a different path. Sometimes we meet again, other times we go our separate ways for a long time. Just be certain that you are in my heart and soul. You have given me strength, you have let me shed my tears, you have supported me in ways in which you do not know. I send my love to all of you, pulsing energy and love into the heavens.

Our Dhobi (washerman)

Yesterday I was chatting with my mom on Skype (She lives in India and we usually talk on Skype in the evenings).. She started the webcam, so I was really enjoying watching her, my house and all the noise and activity around. After 15 min or so, our dhobi entered, our washerman/laundryman. He gave me a nice big smile on the webcam and said “Kaise Ho bibiji?” (How are you?)

Every single day, he diligently comes home, counts and drops the washed and pressed clothes from previous day and collects the new set of clothes. When I hung up on my mom, I realized, that this washerman has been coming to our house every day since the last 7-8 years and previously his dad used to come. However, we have never actually taken the time to appreciate what they do for us. Instead, depending on our mood, we land up shouting at them for not doing some work properly, or coming too early etc.

Today, I want to take a minute and thank him and his dad for doing this for us, for years. I really appreciate the honesty with which he comes and flawlessly, without complaints does his job. And, always there is a smile on his face :-) .

When I was in India, I used to take that for granted, never valued it. But after coming to the US, all these little things are greatly missed. Thank you so much!

Thanks to my uncle…

I thank my uncle (my mom’s sister’s husband) for kindling my interest in computers. In 1993, when computers were limited to huge offices and industries, he had all kind of gadgets in his office and allowed us to freely use them.

As a result, it increased my interest in computers, and I would never forget his contribution in my life. I owe my career and current success to my uncle.

Thank you!

Prayer of ‘Thank You’

The first post on this blog starts with a prayer of ‘Thank You!’.

My faith in God is my biggest strength and my each day starts with a simple prayer.
” I thank you god for this beautiful life. Thanks for everything you have done for me. “

As Meister Eckhardt rightly said “If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough”.
